In the Sixties
This is a new heavily illustrated and slightly enlarged edition of In The Sixties. The old one had been out of print for years so when Rocket 88 asked if they could do a new one, I spent some time doing picture research and finished up with 250 illustrations as well as about 3,000 extra words. When the original edition came out from Cape in 2002 there were one or two stories that people were surprised that I hadn’t included. One was about visiting Cliff Richard backstage with Paul McCartney in 1965 that I’d left out because the tone didn’t seem right, but I’ve fixed it now (I hope). So, that’s it, that’s the sixties taken care of, at least from my point of view. It’s available from Inthesixties.com (directly from the publisher), from some museum bookshops, and Amazon sales.
